Banana Smoothie Recipe

This is the most basic smoothie recipe and is a good starting place for a lot of smoothie variations.

2 Ripe bananas (they've got to be ripe - be patient if they're green)
1/2 cup Plain non-fat yogurt
1 cup Skim milk (or substitute soy milk or 1% milk)
1 tsp Vanilla
  6 Ice cubes
Add-ins (optional)
2 tbsp Flax seeds (if you don't have a Vita-Mix, grind the seeds first)
2 tbsp Uncooked oatmeal
2 tbsp Cocoa powder (use instead of the vanilla)
3 tbsp Peanut Butter (mix in the cocoa and the peanut butter together)

Place all the ingredients in the blender and mix until smooth. Drink immediately.
