Recipes - Making Healthy Food Taste Great

Our beliefs about healthy eating...

Food should taste good
A crazy idea, we know, but you shouldn't have to make yourself eat anything just because it's good for you. Regularly eating something you don't like is no way to live.
Healthy food DOES taste good
We enjoy finding ways of making healthy foods taste like they aren't. It is possible and can be a real pleasure in life.
Your taste buds might need some re-alignment
Eating a lot of fatty, salty, or sugary foods can distort the way you perceive food. Eat better food and you'll start to enjoy the way it tastes and will steer away from junk food.

You've been told for years you need to eat more whole fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Here are some great recipes to start you on your way:

Whole Wheat Flax Bread
Bread making is really satisfying. This recipe has no oil or butter, but uses flax meal instead. You can make lots of bread and store most of it in your freezer for future use.

Sweet Potato Pie
This is a favorite dessert, but with a few changes to the recipe it can taste great and be good for you. Sweet potatoes are the most nutrient dense food you can eat.
